Week Break from the Routine
Flying over the California coast is usually an enjoyable experience, the not-so daunting sandy beaches resting in between hundreds of rocky coves is typically relaxing. Not this flight. The minute I checked in 23 hours earlier to my “B” ticket, I knew I was in for a restless debacle. I’m small and the guy next to me was huge. The plane rattled and the stewardesses wouldn’t stop chit-chatting behind me. That was my return flight from the bay.
Although I shouldn’t complain. I relaxed for an entire work-free week at home in my parent’s luxury 4-bedroom house. I watched movies for days with my dad, ate excellent food from Sushi to the Ferrari deli around the corner, and finished the book that I’ve been working on for weeks.
It was almost entirely work-free, except for the website work which I moiled over a bit. I finished a shopping cart for my girlfriend’s website. Check it out, http://www.thetoyloft.com/ and buy some My Little Ponies or Care Bears. I also got a head start on http://www.glorydazeclothing.com/, a retail website I’m doing on the side. I was hoping to get further before I start my new job on Monday but it didn’t happen.
Anyway, the surf’s been great lately. I surfed at the usual spot twice during the last week. Fast, glassy and well-shaped around head high. Perfect.
